Meet Omaira "Omi" Minjarez
Founder & Program Director
With more than 10 years of gymnastics coaching and leadership, Omi has helped hundreds of children build confidence, coordination and a love for movement. A proud UTEP graduate, she's CPR certified, SafeSport trained, a USA Gymnastics certified instructor and a gymnastics judge — and spent seven years as a dance instructor with the local nonprofit Kids Excel El Paso.
Opening her own gym has been a lifelong dream, and Sun City Gymnastics is now open. Her goal for Sun City is simple: a place where every child feels supported, challenged and inspired to become the best version of themselves.

Perfect — most kids start as beginners. Our programs are designed to build confidence and skills at your child's own pace.
Can I watch my child's class?
Yes. Parents are welcome to stay and watch, especially in our preschool programs.
Are your coaches certified?
Yes. Our coaching team is trained in safety and instruction standards — and drug-tested.
