Class Descriptions

JR. Beginner Gymnastics

Focus of skills for this level are: cartwheel, front support forward roll, straddle mount, seat drop, and backward roll. All of our gymnastics classes include bars, beam, floor, Tumbl Trak, and trampoline.

Pre-Qualifications – Kindergarten to age 7

Apparel – Girls wear a leotard with or without elastic waist shorts or unitard with gymnastics shoes.

Beginner Gymnastics

The focus of skills for this level: cartwheel, front support forward roll, straddle mount, and seat drop and backward roll.

Pre-Qualifications – Must be at least 7 years old.

Apparel – Girls wear a leotard with or without elastic waist shorts or a unitard with gymnastics shoes.

Advanced Beginner Gymnastics

Focus of skills for this level: one-handed cartwheel, back hip pullover, round-off dismount, swivel hips, and back bend kick over.

Pre-Qualifications – Kindergarten to age 7

Apparel – Girls wear a leotard with or without elastic waist shorts or unitard with gymnastics shoes.

Intermediate Gymnastics

The focus of skills for this level are:  back walkovers, pike shoots, pike mounts, front drops, and back hip circles.  After specific skills are completed, your child will move up to  Intermediate II. She stays in her class but will work on mastering additional skills including:  round-off back handsprings, beginner front tucks, front handspring dismounts, cartwheels on beam, and backdrop pullovers. Your gymnasts will also receive a “#2” design piece to be placed on their intermediate trophy. This signifies they are now in Intermediate II!
